The Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest offers a variety of events for visitors. We do our best to make sure everyone has a good time, but those with a serious competitive streak will not be disappointed.
The premier event is the Giant Fruit and Vegetable Weigh-Off, which can find entries tipping the scales beyond anyone's expectations. Last year we had a state record set on site -- this event is not to be missed. The growers who compete in this event will be on hand to answer questions and give guidance to those who wish to try their hand at growing a giant pumpkin next year.
The Great Pumpkin Bake-Off will take place on Sunday, Oct. 2. The judges can hardly wait to taste all of the culinary delights prepared for this years competition. The Grand Champion will win $200!!
The serious pumpkin lover will want to take part in the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest on Saturday, Oct. 1. Come hungery and be ready to dive into those tasty pumpkin pies.
