The Giant Pumpkin Boat Regatta will take place on Sunday October 3, 2010 at 2 pm.
Entrants may begin work on their boats at 8 a.m. on Sunday, and boats must be ready for inspection by noon. Those interested in participating may sign up throughout the day Saturday, and until 10 a.m. on Sunday. There is an entry fee of $35. All entry fees in the charity regatta will be donated to the winner's represented charity.
Rescue personnel will be on site for assistance should they be needed.
Entrants must be 18 years old or over. Photo ID will be requested as proof.
All entrants must sign a waiver before competing.
Anyone participating must wear a life jacket at all times while in the water. No motors or batteries are to be used to power the boats.
Boats may use additonal floatation devices to aid in stabilization.
Have fun and be creative, the most unique design will be awarded a special prize.
Trophies and awards will be distributed at the awards ceromony; 3 p.m. at the Solarus Pumpkin Pavillion.
